Insurance Information for RYA Courses & Boat Training
Associated Marine Training maintains appropriate insurance cover for all training activities to ensure clients are protected while on the water.
Public Liability Insurance
Associated Marine Training holds comprehensive public liability insurance. This provides cover in the unlikely event of injury or loss arising from the negligence of our staff, vessels or equipment during training activities.
Vessel Insurance
All training vessels are fully insured for their intended use, including instruction, charter and recreational operation. Cover includes third-party liability, passenger liability and hull insurance.
All vessels are maintained and operated in accordance with relevant commercial training and safety requirements.
Personal Insurance
Course fees do not include personal insurance. While every reasonable step is taken to ensure safety, participants are responsible for arranging their own cover where required.
We recommend that personal insurance includes:
- Personal accident or injury
- Cancellation, curtailment or postponement
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Medical expenses where applicable
Associated Marine Training cannot accept responsibility for personal loss, travel disruption or uninsured cancellations.
Commercial Endorsement Candidates
Candidates working towards commercial qualifications, such as the RYA Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence, should consider whether additional personal cover is required.
This may include personal accident insurance or loss-of-earnings cover, depending on individual circumstances and intended use of the qualification.
If you have any questions regarding insurance cover or requirements for your course, please contact us prior to booking.
