These stations are responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the satellites, guaranteeing their correct operation and accuracy.   • User Segment: At the user level, GPS receivers (found in everything from smartphones to sophisticated navigation equipment in vehicles and aircraft) decode the signals sent by satellites. These receivers calculate their precise location by determining the time it takes for signals from various satellites to reach them. This information allows them to calculate the distance to each satellite and, subsequently, their exact position on the planet.
