Associated Marine Training has been set up to provide you with the confidence needed to safely venture onto the water.
Onboard leisure activities and water sports are enjoyed by families and individuals all over the world. Spending recreational time on and in the water is great fun, promotes fitness, introduces new skills and you’ll soon be part of a unique and welcoming community. Plus, water-based sports are available for all budgets – sailing and power / motor boating does not need to be expensive.
Developing seamanship skills and understanding the marine environment will enable a smoother excursion during your days on the water. Navigation and the techniques for navigating are being updated all the time. Once you know how, you can do the majority of you pre planning at home leaving boat time to be enjoyed out and about. Boat handling skills unless used and practiced can always do with sharpening up and we spend a fair amount of time with preseason refresher training, this includes berthing practice mooring in tide and the use of the elements. Safety while on the water is paramount and so up to date knowledge on the best practice will aid in developing confidence
Feeling confident and safe on the water is paramount to getting the most out of leisure days spent onboard. We’ll provide you with the training you need to enjoy water sports safely.
Training is provided to suit individual requirements – you set the objectives and then develop the skills you need to achieve your goals. We work closely with recognised Royal Yachting Association training centers, we can assist you through all areas of a well-structured internationally recognised syllabi.
Sessions comprise a combination of online, classroom and practical training, personalised for you. Not only could you achieve certification – you’ll also have the practical skills and confidence needed for your next adventure on the water.
Alongside training we can also arrange introductory days sailing and power / motor boating on a chartered boat, or in your own boat.
Our aim is to provide a bespoke, dedicated approach to learning. Whatever your requirements, get in touch. We’ll advise on the best route to take to achieve your goals, have fun and stay safe.
