An expanding range covering a wide range of boat & marine training topics, including seamanship, navigation, boat handling, and safety.
We have been putting together a series of downloadable documents that cover a varied range of subjects that we frequently get asked about when training either RYA courses or bespoke courses for power sail and motorboat users.
Our aim is to provide a different way of looking at the subject matter, to aid instructors and students to take on board the information and also have a resource available that complements our training, which they can download and refer to at a later date.
The feedback from previous students and crews has been a great help in formatting the documents and we would like to thank them for their assistance in aiding us in production. If you have a topic that you would like covered in this way then please get in touch and we can discuss the options with you and the detail you require.
We are committed to making the theory around motor boating and chart work easier to understand and more importantly assisting in the practical application while afloat. The chart work processes in particular are changing and the move towards a paperless navigation is incredibly exciting. We expect to have a requirement across the board for learning support with regard to chart plotters multi-function screens, AIS, Radar and so expect these to be added to the sight in the coming weeks.

When putting together the information we have tried to provide not just the very basic information but also it is not exhaustive and so if a more in depth explanation would be preferred we can do this with you. Please do contact us with any questions on these or any other information you would like covered.
Before we put a new subject live on the site we do ask a number of students to review them to assist in the design and layout of the information and give us feedback on how easily the information can be absorbed. We will also review feedback from a team of instructors so that we have thoughts from all sides of the spectrum.
