Contact us and we will make time for a consultation to find out your objectives and then produce an appropriate tuition package. During the tuition we can review facilities onboard and give advice relevant to your goals and crew experience.

Sailing, Powerboating, Motor Cruising and Yacht Racing can be part of extended bespoke training packages. If you are looking to sail further afield (across channel or ocean crossing) we can help you prepare your boat and crew for all the adventures you are planning.

What we cover

  • All craft: safety kit audit, passage planning, rules of the road, close-quarters, berthing, MOB, anchoring, towing, VHF discipline, emergency drills.
  • Powerboat/Motor: low/high-speed handling, trim & tabs, planing control, twin-screw techniques, fuel management.
  • Sailing: sail balance, reefing, crew roles, manoeuvres under power & sail, heavy-weather strategy.

Yes—Southampton, Hamble, Portsmouth, Lymington, Chichester, Poole and wider South Coast by arrangement.
Yes—please ensure your policy permits instruction by a professional skipper/instructor.
RYA-qualified, commercially endorsed where required, with extensive local knowledge of the Solent.
It can be skills-focused bespoke tuition or aligned to RYA syllabi. If you want a certificate, we’ll advise the right RYA course and pathway.
Absolutely—training works best with the people you usually boat with.
We design the session around your goals: close-quarters, berthing, navigation, night practice, man overboard, anchoring and more.

We’ll review your onboard kit and advise. Please have life jackets for all participants.

Both—powerboat, motor cruiser and sailing yacht tuition across the Solent and South Coast.

We’ll agree a sensible go/no-go plan and can rearrange if conditions are unsuitable for learning.
